Hit the ground running....

I entered my 4th year of teaching 7th grade math at a wonderful middle school in Evanston, Illinois.  I always set up my classroom at the beginning of August with great aspirations to create an engaging classroom and develop new ideas to help my students learn.  Every year the first day of school arrives (or should I sneaks up), and at 8:30 am I hit the ground running and never stop until the middle of June.

The year goes by so fast that I never seem to find the time to truly reflect on my successes and failures.  I decided to create a blog in attempts to devote more time to reflect on my teaching and share my experiences with the world.  I have also been so inspired by other blogs that I thought blogging my reflections would be the perfect way to join in on the fun!  I hope my postings spark ideas for others to use in their classroom.

I am excited to be a part of the blogging world and share ideas with all the wonderful teachers out there!
